Azul Congresos was founded in the early 2000s to meet a previously unserved need in Asturias: the professional, bespoke organisation of conferences, exhibitions and events.

Today, more than 20 years later, it has established itself as one of the longest-standing event management companies in Asturias, having organised more than 200 national and international conferences. Its founder and director, Silvia Suárez, is currently Vice-President of Oviedo Congresos, Secretary of the Asturias Business Tourism Club and the OPC representative in Asturias.
